Hybrid Lineanquadratic Time-frequency Attributes
We present an efficient method for robustly calculating time-frequency attributes of a signal, including instantaneous mean frequency, bandwidth, and kurtosis. Most current approaches involve a costly intermediate step of computing a (highly oversampled) 2-d bilinear time-frequency representation (TFR), which is then collapsed to the I-d attribute. Using the principles of hybrid linearhilinear ...

We present an efficient method for robustly calculating time–frequency attributes of a signal, including instantaneous mean frequency, bandwidth, kurtosis, and other moments. Most current attribute estimation techniques involve a costly intermediate step of computing a (highly oversampled) two-dimensonal (2-D) quadratic time–frequency representation (TFR), which is then collapsed to the one-dim...
متن کاملEmpirical mode decomposition based time-frequency attributes
This paper describes a new technique, called the empirical mode decomposition (EMD), that allows the decomposition of one-dimensional signals into intrinsic oscillatory modes. The components, called intrinsic mode functions (IMFs), allow the calculation of a meaningful multicomponent instantaneous frequency. Applied to a seismic trace, the EMD allows us to study the di erent intrinsic oscillato...
متن کاملTime - frequency analysis of seismic data using local attributes a
Time-frequency analysis is an important technology in seismic data processing and interpretation. To localize frequency content in time, we have developed a novel method for computing a time-frequency map for nonstationary signals using an iterative inversion framework. We calculated time-varying Fourier coefficients by solving a least-squares problem that uses regularized nonstationary regress...
متن کاملA Study on Pitch Detection in Time-Frequency Hybrid Domain
In this paper, we proposed a new method that can improve the accuracy of cepstrum pitch detection and can reduce the processing time. We control the phase information of cepstrum for making the pitch peak maximum. So we extract the exact pitch period easily. We shorten the processing time by omitting the bit-reversing process from the FFT and IFFT computation.
